Cleaning without Water
The best way to clean felt is with a vacuum cleaner or a lint roller. If needed, pluck loose fibers off the edges with your fingers.
Stains
If something spills, the rule is: don't let it soak in. Liquids usually don't penetrate wool felt right away — so blot up excess liquid immediately with a clean, absorbent cloth.
Hand Washing
For heavier soiling, clean the felt under lukewarm running water — with a soft sponge and a little mild or wool detergent. Don't rub too hard, as this roughens the surface.
After cleaning, gently pull flat felt products back into shape if needed and let them dry flat on a towel. Products such as bags are best stuffed with newspaper while drying — this helps them keep their shape.
Wool felt can shrink: don't let it soak through. Please don't put felt in the washing machine.
Leather Care
Our leather is already fatliquored and needs no special care. If scratches and patina become too pronounced for your taste, you can soften them with a soft, damp cloth. A few raindrops won't harm the leather – they will disappear on their own after a while. Please do not wash the leather or let it get soaked.
Please note: Intensive cleaning or the use of leather grease and similar care products can change the appearance of the leather.
