Felt
“The MacBook case is much softer than I expected—nothing like PET felt.” We often hear this from customers who are receiving our cases for the first time. No wonder: genuine wool felt made from 100% virgin wool is simply a different material than what most people are used to.
We use 3 mm-thick wool felt that’s made in Germany. It’s natural, plastic-free, and biodegradable—yet easy to care for and stain-resistant. Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified: free of harmful substances, tested, and safe.
Leather
“I like this because it’s so authentic—but the cases are still modern,” many of our customers say. Cowhide or water buffalo leather: vegetable-tanned or semi-vegetable-tanned, left in its natural state, without a plastic coating or varnish. Just oil or wax – and that’s it. What you see is the leather itself.
And it changes. With every day, every journey, every touch. It takes on marks – not flaws, but history. It becomes rougher, darker, more distinctive. That’s exactly what many of our customers are looking for. And that’s exactly what’s hard to find these days.
We select the leather that’s right for each model. And because no two pieces are alike, no two leather cases are alike either.

No, this is generally not necessary.
