Handbag „Cut Out" of felt and leather

Centrepiece of this handbag is its striking leather handle—and it’s quite something: an ergonomically shaped, oval cutout makes it a design feature. The handle spans the entire width of the bag, sits on both the front and back, and finishes at the top. The slightly rounded topside creates just the right amount of space for the eponymous “Cut Out” design.

Hidden on the inside of this handle is a bit of craftsmanship: a so-called “Beleg” – a second layer of leather – holds the metal zipper that closes the bag and also features hidden D-ring mounts to which the included carrying strap can be attached if needed.

The body of the bag itself is made of 3 mm thick felt made from 100% virgin wool – a genuine natural product with a pleasant feel. To ensure the bag doesn’t just stand there flat and straight, we’ve pleated the lower section. This pleat gives the bag its rounded shape and capacity – and, incidentally, it’s the only element here that’s explicitly allowed to be wrinkled.

The leather – vegetable tanned cowhide from a German tannery – impresses with its smart sheen and firm texture. A subtle debossed werktat logo on the handle completes the look without overdoing it.
