Craftsmanship & Details

The flap is reinforced with a double layer along the edges—it retains its shape, even after years of use. A small tab for gripping is integrated into the underside.

The bag retains its shape thanks to an additional leather strap that is sewn into the interior to limit the fill height. That may sound technical—but it looks anything but: The result is a bag that maintains its clean shape even when full, while exuding a distinctly high-quality feel. The trapezoidal side panel, which tapers slightly toward the top and is gently rounded at the bottom, emphasizes this silhouette.

The closure is a magnet—discreet, secure, and quick. Inside, a small zippered pocket made of wool felt holds the items you always want to keep close at hand.

Carrying Strap & Handle

The leather strap is made of bag leather, is adjustable in length, and can be detached using a carabiner—maximum length approx. 140 cm (When worn crossbody, the bag sits relatively short on the hip). The handle is constructed with two layers.

The Leather

The leather comes from a family-run tannery in southern Germany with a tradition dating back to 1888: vegetable-tanned, hand-finished, and 2.5 mm thick. Cow neck leather: the most distinctive cut, with a natural grain that no embossing machine can replicate.

The finish is created using wax and heat, making each bag one-of-a-kind. Re-greased with high-quality oils, the leather remains supple, has a pleasant scent, and develops a beautiful patina over time.

The inside of the leather is treated with a finish. This also makes the surface of the bag’s interior smooth and firm, allowing the bag to do without a lining entirely and preventing any loose leather fibers from coming off.
