Only the best part for this mousepad – the neck leather

For the WERKSTUECK, we cut 3.5–4.5 mm thick neck leather into a rectangular shape with rounded corners and apply our blind embossing, centered in the middle. The leather comes from a small, family-run company with a long tradition in southern Germany. The tannery works exclusively with plant-based tanning agents; the leather is conditioned with natural oil to keep it supple.

The surface – depending on the color

The mousepad in black and dark brown additionally receives an ultra-thin, water-based sealant. This keeps the color deep within the leather and creates a smooth, calm surface with a subtle silky sheen that makes the aniline-dyed leather look especially refined.

The WERKSTUECK in light brown (natural), on the other hand, comes entirely without dye or additives – except for natural oil. Pure, untreated, and open-pored, with a matte surface. The outstanding quality of this leather can not only be seen, but above all smelled.

Every leather mousepad is one of a kind

As the name suggests: every WERKSTUECK is a natural product and varies in texture and color. The natural creases of the hide give each mousepad its individual character – no two pieces are alike. Over time, the leather darkens and gains scratches and a patina through use – becoming only more valuable.

The rough underside keeps the leather mousepad firmly in place on your desk. Measuring approx. 26 × 21 cm (approx. 10.2 × 8.3 inches), it is generously sized.
