Our felt seat cushions for the Thonet S 43 and S 43 F are custom-made to fit the unique shape of the cantilever chair. The slightly rounded corners, straight sides, and outwardly curved front and back edges follow the seat’s characteristic shape. This way, the cushion combines the comfort of an upholstered seat cushion with the chair’s timeless design. And the combination of high-quality wool felt and custom color options makes each cushion a personal addition to your S 43.

You can easily customize your Thonet S 43 seat cushion yourself:

Individual selection of color combination
Different felt colors available within a single cushion
Optional anti-slip coating
Hand-applied natural latex
With anti-slip, the cushion can only be used on one side
Without anti-slip, you can flip the cushion over.
Felt samples available to order in advace to help you choose the right color
