With a crossbody bag, the strap decides how well it carries. Our straps in cotton or webbing are all adjustable: over the shoulder, across the body, higher or lower, just as you like. And because straps go through more than the rest of the bag, we can replace them for you.
A crossbody bag is always on the move. It swings at your hip, gets grabbed, put down, slung back on. You can see that on our leathers after a while, and that's exactly what they're made for. Our vegetable-tanned leather from Germany smells like leather and gets more beautiful every day. The water buffalo leather is soft and supple and comes with its patina built in. And the waxed cowhide lightens where you touch the bag most. So every crossbody bag becomes a little more yours over time.
Wool felt is soft and comfortable against the body. The many tiny air pockets between the fibres cushion knocks and protect what's inside the bag. And because wool fibre is softer than glass, paint or plastic, it scratches nothing, neither your phone nor your sunglasses. Felt hardly absorbs odours; even after a long summer's day, fresh air is usually all it needs. All our felt is made of 100% virgin wool and certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100. A good crossbody bag stays with you for years, and sometimes it needs a little care along the way. A new strap, a clasp, a seam: we repair whatever can be repaired in our workshop. Just write to us.
Yes. All straps are adjustable. You can wear the bag over your shoulder or across your body, just as you like.
Yes. Straps can be replaced, for example when one is worn out after years of use or you'd like a different colour. Just write to us.

In the werktat workshop in Ilsfeld near Heilbronn, Germany. Design and production happen entirely there, from cutting to the last stitch.
